getmaxmemory

**Syntax:** :code:`getmaxmemory(maximum memory)`

Gets the amount of available RAM. The value is the amount RAM in the local computer (Local distribution mode or no distribution mode at all) or in a compute node (Slurm etc. distribution modes), or value defined in the relevant _config.txt file.

This command can be used in the distributed processing mode, but it does not participate in distributed processing.

Arguments
---------

maximum memory [output]

**Data type:** real

Amount of RAM available, in megabytes.
